Rounding out our Kirsten Lepore feature-fest, we’ve got one last fun thing to add! Kirsten put together an amazing playlist of songs she hits up when she needs a little extra inspiration: “I actually end up listening to a lot of dance music when I’m working.  My theory is that animation can be such a stationary, stagnant activity that I need to keep my enthusiasm up by pumping the jams.”

She’s got tracks from Plan B, Disclosure, Star Slinger, Body Language, Röyksopp, etc., making for a mix that gives off friendly cousin vibes to a recent playlist from Patrick Simons, Almost Summer, Bro.

It’s that time of the week again.

For this Friday’s mixtape, I’ve assembled some songs that feel like it’s almost summer time. I know the last mix we posted was Summer Sounds, so this playlist seems to be taking a couple steps back in the seasonal calendar, but I think this mix can be played from now through autumn with no problems.

A good chunk of the mix has been recycled through summery mixes of mine for the last few years, but there’s some more recent gems thrown in there too.
