Oof. Baby feet. They are, undoubtedly, one of little babies’ biggest draws, and possibly, if you want to get a little more scientific, nature’s secret weapon to trick adult humans into doling out a few extra Gerber’s mini hot dogs.
I’ve been looking around for gifts for a soon-to-be mom, and I’ve found a few favorite baby shoes on Etsy. Top picks, as follows!
Images top down, from left to right:
1. Reversible Baby Booties, by Molipop
2. Ballet Baby, by TillyWhistle
3. Baby’s Blue Felt Shoes, by The Felt Experience
4. Pink Bird Eco Booties, by Growing Up Wild
5. Vintage Yellow, by Molipop
6. Splash Bison Booties, by Bison Booties
7. Gray Wool Booties, by WoolyBaby
I love them all, but if we’re going by comfort only, I’d have to say the gray wool booties are looking pretty good. Especially for the (very rare) occasion when Baby’s Icelandic wooly sheep suit is inappropriate dress attire.

VÍK PRJÓNSDÓTTIR is a collaboration between several Icelandic designers and an Icelandic knitting factory, all sharing a common interest in the form and magic of every day items in design. I’d like to know if these Icelandic sheep wool suits for children come in any larger sizes, and if so, would they be considered acceptable dinner clothing? Asking for a friend, who is me.

I stumbled upon this in a design store in Reykjavik. Every day of the year is a perforated square. At the start of each day you remove the square from the previous day. At the end of the year you’re left with a few squares that say 2011. I think it helps to put time into perspective.

Awesome mural spotted in Reykjavik.

I recently flew IcelandAir to Reykjavik and purchased these cards at 40,000 feet. The designers replaced kings and queens with ancient Nordic gods.

Hands down, Icelanders drink the coolest milk.
