Fiber artist Toshiko Horiuchi-MacAdam has created an elaborate knit playspace in Japan’s Hakone Open Air Museum, where children torture a giant playspace creature by swinging from it’s oddly numerous uvulas. No, it’s actually a brilliant play park composed almost entirely of yarn (the artist ordered materials by the ton) in an effort to allow children to interact with Horiuchi-MacAdam’s colorful art. Horiuchi-MacAdam is considered one of the top fiber artists in Japan, and it’s quite clear why. Amazing!

VÍK PRJÓNSDÓTTIR is a collaboration between several Icelandic designers and an Icelandic knitting factory, all sharing a common interest in the form and magic of every day items in design. I’d like to know if these Icelandic sheep wool suits for children come in any larger sizes, and if so, would they be considered acceptable dinner clothing? Asking for a friend, who is me.

So, we just finished up BCM25, The Food & Drink Issue. I’ve been starving since we started it. And it doesn’t help that Benny has gotten to go out and explore all the wonderful international food options that Buffalo has to offer.
We’ve also been working with our new client, Perry’s Ice Cream, so we’ve all had ice cream on the mind.
And, since today is the first day of summer, I thought this would be fitting.
Everybody go get ya ice cream on. Holla.
