I recently just got back from my “Stay-cation.” 9 days off in a row in the Queen City.

What would you do?

Well for me everyday was an adventure in my own backyard. Between visiting almost all of the Buffalo Olmsted Parks via bicycle, hiking through sculptures in Ashford Hollow, enjoying the developing waterfront, and kayaking the cities old grain mills. And this was just the first 3 days.

I’ve got to say I’ve come away with a new found love for my city. Buffalo.

Small Wins: 166 Days To Go!

I do this every July. After a relaxing week away on vacation, I get to the airport (I’m at JFK now) and think to myself, “Shit! The year’s halfway through and I have so much I need to accomplish!” Sound familiar?

Granted, I need to purge a few things from my to-do list, but this week I’m determined to map out the rest of the year to see what I can reasonably work through. I’m going to break up all of the tasks into small wins. The idea is that they’ll add up to big results at the end of the year.

I’ve done this before, but this time I’m planning to make a list of all of my wins, small and large. On those tired days when it feels like the world is working against me, it will be nice to take a moment to reflect on all of the work that’s been done and take a deep breath.

166 days to go!
